With the incredible global launch of ageLOC, we stand at the forefront of the anti-aging industry, which is expected to grow 76 percent in the United States, 73 percent in Japan and 82 percent in the Asia Pacific region by 2015. Much of the success Nu Skin has enjoyed can be attributed to its impressive business opportunity. Here’re three ways our opportunity is simply unparalleled.

However, we haven't even scratched the surface of what we will see in India in future. We are still digging the foundations of what I see as a tall high-rise building, placing us below the ground floor of an opportunity that is unmatched in the direct selling industry. Our plan is to have 500 EXECUTIVES in India by the time Nu Skin launches and that will be the ground floor of this high-rise. With the current momentum carrying on, I believe we can achieve this quite quickly in 2017. The question I have for you is how many of these 500 Executives are going to be in your team? Whatever number you can decide on depends on your GOALS and your VISION. A simple way to work out how many Executives you want is to look at your long term income goals. India is predicted to be a $1 billion market in the long term (and this is a conservative figure). If Nu Skin is doing $1 billion of revenue a year in India and you have 1% market share of Nu Skin in India, then $10 million of revenue will be flowing through your team annually, giving you a minimum annual income of $500,000. If you have 10% market share of Nu Skin India, then your minimum annual income will be $5,000,000 a year (I say minimum because I'm calculating on the lowest payable percentage which is 5%...remember that Nu Skin pays up to 43% of revenue in commissions). What amount of a yearly residual income would you be happy with? Based on this, plan to put in your efforts and build your team accordingly. As Nu Skin launches in India and 500 Executives are already in place, the number of Executives will grow to 5,000, 50,000 and beyond. As this growth happens, your team of 5, 50 or 100 Executives will also grow in the momentum and that is how you will end up with big market share in Nu Skin India. To acquire 1% market share, you need to have 5 Executives in your team and to have 10% market share your entire team should consist of 50 Executives by the time we reach 500 Executives.

Nu Skin Pacific Region Creates History




Nu Skin concluded its largest ever Pacific Regional Convention where sales leaders from Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia and New Caledonia came together at The Star in Sydney, Australia. They gathered to celebrate the success of the Nu Skin Pacific region, share success stories, and learn about the incredible future Nu Skin has planned.

The conference opened with the Woman-to-Woman event where Melisa Quijano, president of Pacific and Southeast Asia Regions, spoke about how women can recognize their leadership potential and are a crucial driving force within Nu Skin. “It is not about equality between men and women, but equal opportunity for both men and women,” said Quijano in the presentation. “And as a meritocracy, Nu Skin offers equal opportunity for all. At Nu Skin, we celebrate the contributions of women leaders like you.”

After Quijano spoke, the 2014 Nu Skin Pacific Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award was presented to Blue Diamond Executive Pauline Lindsay for her dedication in building her Nu Skin business though outstanding leadership and her ability to empower her teams.


An evening reception greeted attendees with canapés, photo booths and an interactive product area featuring exclusive convention-only merchandise.

Truman Hunt, Nu Skin president and CEO, opened the second day by speaking about the Nu Skin 3.0 vision.  In the ageLOC session, Dr. Joseph Chang, Nu Skin’s chief scientific officer, presented the anti-aging formula science behind Nu Skin’s ageLOC products and hinted at new and exciting ageLOC products coming out in the near future.

Other guest speakers presenting throughout the convention included Nu Skin sales leaders and members of market leadership such as Evita Singson, Alan Nagao, Ong Gee and Patricia Acosta.

A favorite of the Convention was the product experience area where convention attendees went through an ageLOC journey and had their passport stamped to receive ageLOC product samples. To finish the convention, recognition events for Star Creator, Blue Diamond, Team Elite and Million Dollar Circle members were held as fans got together to celebrate their part to CREATE HISTORY at Nu Skin.

Cleansing and Conditioning

Nu Skin offers a range of hair care products and it can be confusing to try and figure out which products should be used—Epoch Ava puhi moni Shampoo and Conditioner or Nu Skin Hair Care.  One way to know what hair care products that might be right for you is to understand the type and shape of your hair.

Epoch Ava puhi moni products include the ethnobotanical ingredient, zingiber zerumbet (ava puhi extract). For generations Polynesians have used this extract from the bulb-like flower of the ava puhi to soften, condition and add shine to hair. Polynesians tend to have thick, coarse, curly hair with a flat, oval-shaped hair shaft.

Due to this structure, natural moisturizers from the scalp have great difficulty moving down the shaft. The result is dry, difficult to manage hair. Kinky hair does not reflect light as well and therefore tends to lack shine compared to straighter hair.  If your hair is thick, coarse, highly curly and dry, the Epoch Ava puhi moni products would be great to try.

Nu Skin Hair Care is a system of shampoos and conditioners. When developing these products, R&D focused on two main types of hair—circular vs. kidney shaped shaft. A kidney-shaped hair shaft shape tends to be slightly curly or wavy. More circular-shaped shafts lead to straighter hair. The cuticle is thicker and lies down at a steeper angle. This hair structure has been found to be stronger.

Due to these differences in hair structure, the base formula of Balancing Shampoo and Weightless Conditioner were formulated for wavy hair (i.e. kidney-shaped shaft), while Moisturizing Shampoo and Rich Conditioner are more suited round hair shafts resulting in thicker, straight hair. Moisturizing Shampoo and Rich conditioner provide more silicones and shea butter to compliment the straight, shiny hair. Whereas Balancing Shampoo and Weightless Conditionerare “lighter” formulations to allow for more volume often needed in thinner, kidney hair shafts.
